Welcome to the third episode of the Trendease TV docuseries, where we continue to explore the inspiring Creatives Wings project at the cliffside corner of Kingsgate Castle, a historic landmark in the UK that is being decorated and furnished by today’s design heroes. This series celebrates the new talent and visionary companies championing creative social responsibility in this ongoing initiative.
Our last episode told the story of how the famous fireplace came back to life embracing the most ecological materials, technologies, and processes available. It burns local, sustainably sourced, kiln-dried hardwood, dried in a kiln powered by wood waste. And what happens to the fireplace waste? The ash is given to up-and-coming designer Rosy Napper, who makes tableware, lighting, furniture, and tiles, as well as an exclusive line of eco ceramics for the castle using her ground-breaking material innovation. See what is born from the ashes here.
Creatives Wings is passionate about supporting new talent and creative social responsibility. Visit the castle, get involved, or learn more about the initiatives here. Stay connected.
